Relevant bachelor’s, diploma, or comparable degree from a recognized university in Germany with at least 140 ECTS (at the time of applying), and an average grade from 1.0 up to 2.9 (German grading scale applies), determined from the examination results.

- A study program is relevant if at least:
60 ECTS (EU degrees) or 12 modules (Non-EU degrees) in economics, business administration, and at least 15 ECTS (EU degrees) or 4 (Non-EU degrees) in the field of quantitative methods have been acquired and proved.

2. Proof of the relevant first academic degree with the mandatory standardized form “Relevance” of the faculty.

- Applicants who have obtained their bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Economics and Management of Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg do not have to prove the relevance of a completed undergraduate degree, as this information is already known to the faculty.

3. Proof of English language skills on C1 level with one of the recognized options.

4. Letter of motivation in English, containing no more than 450 words, which illustrates the professional and academic interest in the chosen master's program, presents the applicant's special skills and knowledge, and sets out personal expectations regarding the content, methods, and study processes of the chosen master's program.

Objectives

This international, postgraduate study program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, methods, and skills essential for professions in upper and top-level management of internationally operating corporations and organizations. Students will gain the skills necessary for grasping problems and developing structured, theory-based solutions within the fields of marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Through its research-oriented structure, the IMME master’s program offers technical knowledge training, social competency studies, and internationally-focused modules.

The lecturer selection and student body consists of individuals from around the world, and all modules are taught in English.

Career Perspectives

This degree program qualifies students for a wide variety of jobs in middle and top management positions within public administrations and multinational enterprises. Moreover, the study program prepares top-performing students with adequate business and economic knowledge to join a doctoral study program (Ph.D.) in related fields.

Competencies and Interests Required

This study program requires students to possess a comprehensive understanding of economic theories as well as advanced mathematics and statistics as well as strong English skills.
