The semester fee is not a tuiton fee but an administration fee. The current amount is 277,90€ and consists of the following elements:

• 90,00€ - contribution to the Studentenwerk (Student Union). For example, student discounts for lunch in the university canteen ("Mensa") are paid by those fees.
• 176.40 EUR semester Deutschland-Ticket 
• 11,50€ - students contribution. This amount finances the elected student self-government, for example the Student Council, which represents student interests in the government of the Otto von Guericke University. They also use this money to support projects organized by students.

Every student enrolled at the university must pay the semester fee at the beginning of the semester. 

In order to enrol at our university, you must bring proof of this payment with you.
