Exchange Programmes
Would you like to further your academic career and get to know German culture? An exchange programme at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg does not onlylet you expand your subject knowledge but also gives you a chance to make new friends. This page contains information on application, language courses and language requirements as well as on all questions regarding travel, accommodation, visa and more. At the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, it is possible to carry out a short-time study for a period from three months to a maximum of one year. You can either study as part of an exchange programme or arrange your stay on your own as a "free mover".
Applicants from European partner universities of the University of Magdeburg and from our partner universities in Israel, Kyrgyzstan, and the Ukraine.

Applications from students outside our partner universities cannot be accepted for academic year 2025/26. Information on the relaunch of our freemover programme will be given in due time. Please refrain from inquiries.
