Double and Joint Degrees
Double degree programmes are integrated courses of study giving students the opportunity to conduct part of their studies at their German home university and, also, at a partner institution abroad (or the other way around for students of our partner institutions). Due to the parallel structure of the programmes, the students receive two individual academic degrees from the respective universities. Contrastingly, students are granted only one academic degree after finishing a joint degree programme. The main difference therefore lies within the study documentation: on one hand, the student of a double degree programme receives multiple, interwoven diplomas of the institutions involved. On the other hand, joint degree students receive one comprehensive diploma.
You can find a list of all double and joint degree programmes offered by OVGU below.
If you want to begin your studies at one of our partner universities abroad, you will have to apply with them as a regular student before directly applying or via uni-assist e.V. in the case of Performance Analysis of Sport for your stay abroad at OVGU.
