The logistics study programme at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg offers a broad, demanding and interdisciplinary education in both scientific and application-oriented aspects. The Logistik Werktstatt as a concept of modern education forms the core of the task oriented study programme and is unique in Germany. It links the acquired knowledge in the different fields of education when problem-solving through a series of semester projects and internships. Thus it creates the precondition for practical, logistics-related application at an early stage. The aim is to develop skills and abilities for the systematic analysis of logistical problems and for the planning, designing, dimensioning and evaluating socio-technical processes and systems.
