What former Exchange Students Say About Their Experience at OVGU...
"It was an amazing and unforgettable experience to be the participant of the Erasmus Exchange Program. It was a great honor and pleasure for me to have a chance to become a part of the German community, to travel around the country and to learn the culture, traditions, life style and social norms of the European society. The study abroad as Erasmus student, provided me a variety of opportunities that played an integral role in transformation of my worldview and personality. Since, the adaptation to new cultural environment is always a challenging process, the study adventure to Germany served as a great possibility to acquire more confidence, stress resilience and flexibility that made me more organizational and competent in managing different life situations. The study at the Otto von Guericke University was extremely interesting and motivating per se. An interactive and friendly atmosphere of the Educational Institution as part of my new study experience, promoted an assistance in enrichment of the academic knowledge and advancement of communicative skills, which opened the new sphere of my personal interests that I want to make a focus in prospect, in the field of my professional career. Many thanks to all Academic Staff and Coordinators of the Otto von Guericke University for provided support, their warm attitude and this wonderful experience! :-)"
Anna, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Russland)
"The exchange semester was an unforgettable experience for me. During this time, I was able to study in another country, practice foreign languages, and travel around Europe. But the most important thing is to find great friends from all over the world with whom it was more interesting and fun to study at Uni and discover a new country for me."
Fernanda, Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (Brasilien)

"Hi! My name is Pavel and I am from Ukraine. I am incredibly happy that I have been given the opportunity to study in Germany (namely in Magdeburg)! It is a beautiful city I like very much. I'm hoping that I can pass my language exam so that I can continue studying here!"
Roman, Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod (Russland)
"When I was a kid I couldn’t have imagined that one day I would visit Germany not as a tourist, but as a student. There were a number of destinations in my home university, but I decided to go to OVGU in Magdeburg. The university is well equipped and offered a number of courses which can be mastered along with the main major. I would say that OVGU made me fall in love with Germany, the German language and Magdeburg. Its proximity to Berlin gives many opportunities for traveling. Also I would like to give thanks to the international department of OVGU. They have helped me greatly in terms of studying issues and personal questions, but what is more important, they have organized a number of excursions, and other activities that helped us, foreigners to get accounted with German traditions, its heritage and people. Come to OVGU, Study here, fall in love with Germany!"
Bruna, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brasilien)
"My year at OVGU taught me that cultivating multicultural bonds brings a more diverse mindset when dealing with new situations in life, and I am very glad about this!"
