On the 12th German Diversity Day (28.05.2024), in cooperation with the EU GREEN Network, the starting signal will be given for the photo competition under the motto

"Limitless: Your perspective on diversity and inclusion at OVGU".

Notes for participants:

Participants: All OVGU members (students and employees, including administrative staff as well as participants in the senior study program "Studying from 50")

A maximum of 2 photos per author can be submitted.

Participants are fully liable for any infringement of third-party rights to their submitted work and for any image rights claims.

By submitting an image, each author declares that OVGU may publish the image material with his/her name and that the submitter is the owner of the image rights. OVGU is indemnified against all claims by third parties in this regard. Immoral and/or illegal content will not be considered.

Photos:

The photos must correspond to the proposed theme, be original and unpublished and must not have already won an award or been exhibited in another competition.

The photos can be in color or black and white, post-processing is possible (please take note of the image rights).

The photos must be submitted in digital JPG format. Only photos with good resolution will be considered for the first two prizes, as low-resolution images are not suitable for printing (jpg file format, file size 2 to max. 10 MB per image, long edge max. 4000 pixels).

The photos must not bear a signature or watermark.

All photos submitted will be published on the OVGU and EU GREEN websites.

Participation in the temporary exhibition of all works selected by the jury

First prize: Certificate and large-format print of the photo, voucher for a CEWE photo book worth 100 EURO

Second and third prize: certificate and medium-format photo print, vouchers for the OVGU Unishop

The winning photos are expected to take part in an EU GREEN-wide photo competition in October 2024.

Jury:

The jury, consisting of members of the Equal Opportunities & Diversity Network as well as members of EU Green and other internal partners, will select the submitted photos that will be awarded prizes and exhibited at the university.

EU GREEN:

This event would be part of the socio-cultural activities framed within the EU GREEN alliance, a consortium of 9 European Universities committed to sustainability in all its spheres, and the promotion of inclusive, innovative, equitable and eco-friendly practices in higher education and research.

The second edition of the competition is organized by the University of Magdeburg and refers to the sustainability goal 10 - "Less inequalities" (Agenda 2030 - Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations).
