Please submit the completed application form, signed by both the candidate and the professor, here: https://www.fin.ovgu.de/Studium/Während+des+Studiums/Prüfungsamt/Formulare.html
From the new internship regulations in 2025 onwards, registration should generally take place before the start, or at the latest by the eighth week of the internship.
You will clarify all further details with your supervising professor and the company.
A professor or PD (Privatdozent/senior lecturer) can credit your internship towards your degree.
An internship is generally an active component of the degree program and is intended to promote the application of theoretical course content. However, relevant IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) apprenticeships with a regular duration of at least three years can be credited as a professional internship for the Bachelor's degree program. The recognition form "Application for Recognition of Achievements and Qualifications" must be used for this purpose.
In order for the internship to be recorded as passed, the examination office requires a certificate from the company confirming the internship's completion or a work reference. If these documents have already been submitted and have still not been approved, please contact the examination office by email.
