The main objective of the centre is the successful implementation of the European Partnership Principle (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 240/2014) within the state of Saxony-Anhalt and its important political, economic and social institutions.
The centre is the connection dot between the European administrative offices (surveillance and authorising authority for the European Structural and Investment Funds), the economic and social partners (representing the practical perspective) and the representatives of the European Commission who take place in the Monitoring Committee every quarter per annum (depending on the topics discussed on each agenda). Therefore, it owns the legitimacy to enhance and push cooperation and knowledge transfer between and on various political levels.
Due to its advisory services and its networking function it plays an essential role for the economic and social partners and with the support of the centre of expertise, they have the chance to actively participate, create, discuss and implement guidelines for the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF). European partnership agreements lead to a series of investment programmes channelling the funding to the different regions and projects in policy areas concerned.
