Campus Pitch: International Outreach Connecting Student Initiatives and International Students

The Campus Pitch at the Otto-von-Guericke-University continues and international Students from all study backgrounds can expect an exciting opportunity!

On June 11, 2024 from 12:00 to 2 pm under the tent in front of building 18 on campus, international students can explore the university’s vast network of student initiatives, in short, 1-minute pitches. The event will take place in presence in English language under the tent in front of building 18. Register here now.

Representatives from the initiatives will share how you can get involved and actively shape your university experience and life on campus. Throughout the event, interested students will have the chance to further engage with the initiatives, chat with a representative, and potentially sign up for membership right then!

We take pride in our diverse student-run network that caters to various interests and talents. Joining a student group is an excellent way to socialize, meet like-minded individuals, and pursue your hobbies. Being part of a group greatly enhances the university experience and holds particular value for international students seeking language enhancement opportunities as well as wanting to feel more at home.

HORIBA Logo HORIBA FuelCon GmbH manufactures and sells emission measurement systems for motor vehicles, environmental measurement devices, a wide range of scientific analysis devices, medical diagnostic devices and measurement devices for the semiconductor industry.
regiocom Logo

regiocom SE focuses on Development & Operations, Cloud Computing, Tech Stack as well as NLP frameworks and dialog systems in order to develop software solutions for the energy and service industry.

UNINOW Logo UniNow GmbH, the market-leading campus app, makes it easier for students throughout Germany to organize their everyday study life and connects graduates and students with potential employers at an early stage. The start-up was founded at OVGU in 2016.
AIESEC Logo AIESEC, founded immediately after World War II, pursues the goal of "Peace and Fulfillment of Humankind's Potential" and challenges its members to take responsibility and promote intercultural exchange. Through social projects abroad, AIESEC enables young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 to improve their skills, take responsibility and immerse themselves in a new culture, while being supported by a global alumni network and workshops.
FlaR Logo FlaR is a colorful cycling team with over 25 bike-affine, predominantly young members who pursue various disciplines from competitive cycling to hobby triathlons. The team is also enthusiastic about special interests such as gravel, cross races, alleycats, time trials and Zwift races.
hochschul smd+ magdeburg Logo The Student Mission in Germany (SMD) is an interdenominational Christian university group at the University of Magdeburg consisting of around 30 students and trainees. The group meets for lectures and discussions on topics such as identity and the relationship between faith and science, and spends time in smaller groups reading the Bible, eating together and socializing.
Ikus Logo IKUS, an intercultural student organization at OVGU Magdeburg, supports international students and promotes intercultural experiences and friendships through various activities such as parties, country evenings and excursions. The volunteer team also offers ongoing advice and support for international students, including help with administrative procedures and the organization of welcome weeks, with the aim of making it easier to settle into life in Magdeburg and promoting intercultural friendships.
OVGU eSports Logo OVGU eSports e.V. was founded at the end of 2017 as a student initiative to establish a university-sport-oriented club in Magdeburg. Students can take part in events, attend eSports courses and compete either for fun or competitively for OVGU in the university league as the club continues to grow and expand its offerings.
UMD Racing Logo UMD Racing enables motorsport enthusiasts at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg to build and drive their own racing cars. The team has been competing against other teams on racetracks in Europe in the Formula Student since 2008.
