Medical Technology
Within the transfer research focus of Medical Technology, the activities of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg are concentrated in the STIMULATE – Solution Centre for Image Guided Local Therapies research campus. Interdisciplinary teams of medical doctors and medical engineers are working on the development of image-guided minimally-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic methods for combating common diseases in the fields of oncology and neurology. The aim is to revolutionise medical care using innovative methods, to improve the quality of medical treatment, lessen the burden for patients and reduce healthcare costs.
