The university supports the preparation of projects in HORIZON 2020 [The following measures still refer to FP7, new support measures are planned].

• Initiation, preparatory and partner-finding trips with up to 1,000 euros per trip and the organisation of preparatory meetings at the university with up to 500 euros as a grant.
• The university also funds a position of a research assistant at 50% of a full-time equivalent to support coordinators in projects of the Research Framework Programme. This applies to the application phase and for a maximum period of 3 months. Should the coordinator be invited to contract negotiations by the EU, this funding can be extended by 6 months.

Final scholarships for doctoral students with exceptional family burdens. The final scholarship is paid for up to three months. Prerequisites for the application are a proven exceptional family burden and the completion of the work completion of the thesis during the period of funding.
