Dr. med. José Luis Cortés Sánchez completed his doctorate at the Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg and graduated in January 2025.

Today he is a research assistant (PostDoc) at the Institute of Anatomy at the Medical Faculty of the University of Magdeburg. His field of activity includes research in the Mucosal Immunity working group, headed by Prof. Rothkötter, in which he deals with T cells in the intestinal immune system. He is also a lecturer in the anatomy preparatory course.
